With the joint cooperation of Department of Agriculture, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korea Climate Change Center, improved cook stoves were distributed to a total of 20504 households in 225 villages in 48 village-tracts in Gyobingauk Township at a rate of an improved cook stove per household, according to the Department of Agriculture.

With the aim of reduction of firewood consumption and carbon production and prevention of deforestation, improved cook stoves were provided to a total of 10252 households in 25 village-tracts in the township free of charge starting from 9 February. Then, the distribution of cook stoves will continue to other villages in the township.
