Two landslides in western Indonesia that were triggered by heavy rainfall have left at least 11 people dead and 18 others injured. The country's weather authorities are warning of more rainfall.

Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency announced on Saturday that a landslide took place in West Java.

It also said a second landslide occurred as a search and rescue team was evacuating people following the first disaster. Some rescuers were among the victims.
Disaster authorities are now searching for the missing people.

Authorities are stepping up vigilance against more landslides in the area.

Indonesia frequently experiences floods and landslides, particularly during the rainy season from November to March.
