Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint presided over launching a newsroom of the ministry’s website yesterday afternoon. 

The Union Minister clicked on the website for inauguration of the newsroom. 

Director-General of Information and Public Relations Department U Ye Naing briefed on the management for MOI website and renovation of the newsroom.

The Union Minister then gave advice on securing securing rights to state information and the easy flows of news and information. The officials are instructed by the Union Minister to do more research and to ensur cyber security at the department. 

The Research and Data Division under the IPRD is has posted local and international news on its webportal and social media (Facebook, Viber, Twitter) that have attracted 1.4 million viewers while retaining public access to information.—MNA
