An awareness talk about earthquake was held in in Na Yun Village, Mongping Township in kayin State yesterday in conjunction with a disaster drill.

At the event, officials from the Department of Disaster Management clarified the purpose of the awareness talk and disseminated knowledge about the risk of earthquakes, preventative measures against the natural disaster and responses when a natural disaster occurs in the area. Then, they distributed handouts on disaster awareness to the attendees.

Then, officials also conducted an awareness talk about earthquake and natural disasters at the monastery of Yamkhe Village in Mongpin Township and disseminated knowledge about the risks of natural disaster.—May Mon Htut, IPRD
