An informative talk about children rights protection law was held at the meeting room of the township General Administration Department in Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region on 18th December.
First, the township Management Committee Chairman U Thein Zaw made an opening speech. Then, the township law officer Daw Sandar Win and Daw San San New, head of the district Social Welfare Department elaborated on children rights, offences and punishments prescribed in the children rights protection law.
Then, staff from the district Social Welfare Department distributed books on children rights protection law among the attendees.
Present at the event were departmental heads at township level, town elders, fire fighters, members of Red Cross society, members of women affairs committee and members of Maternal and Child Care Association.—Chit San (Khin-U)
