With the aim of raising awareness on scourge of drugs, informative talk was held at the B.E.H.S.-4 in Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay Region this morning.

During the event, chairman of Myanmar Anti-Drug Association based in Mandalay Police Lt-Col U Myint Swe (retired) delivered a speech and elaborated matters pertaining to anti-drug works undertaken by Myanmar Anti-Drug Association and clarified the purposes of Ministries of Education and Health on narcotic drugs.

Next, officials from the Myanmar Anti-Drug Association (Mandalay) shared knowledge about the scourge of drugs, disadvantage of drugs and the preventive measure of narcotic drugs to attendees. Afterwards, officials answered queries raised by those present on the occasion.

After that, officials distributed pamphlet on narcotic drugs to attendees. A total of 350 people including chairman of Myanmar Anti-Drug Association, Mandalay Police Lt-Col U Myint Swe(retired) and members, headmistress of B.E.H.S.-4, teachers and students attended the event.—Aung Zaw Min(IPRD)
