Haka, 30 June

An awareness-raising event was held at the multipurpose hall on the third floor of Hakha University on 30 June at 11 a.m., under the themes: “Supporting the Fight Against Drug Trafficking,” “Strictly Following Traffic Rules and Road Safety Regulations,” and “Preventing Human Trafficking.”

The event began with Dr. New Ni, Pro-Rector of Hakha University, who gave an overview of drug-related issues and their impacts. This was followed by presentations from law enforcement officials: San Myaing, head of drug abuse and illegal trafficking office, discussed the dangers of drug trafficking; Win Aung from the State Traffic Police Office, spoke about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations; and Kap San Man, head of anti-human trafficking efforts, provided an informative session on preventing human trafficking.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, during which teachers and students from Haka University actively engaged with the speakers. Approximately 100 participants, including faculty and students, attended the talks.—(District IPRD)
