AN Independence Day commemorative market festival and fun fair will be held in front of Maha Hsaywingaba Monastery in Insein Township, Yangon Region, from 7 to 12 January, according to the festival organizing committee.
The market festival and fun fair will feature around 270 stalls, offering a wide range of consumer goods, food, and various general merchandise. Additionally, entertainment facilities for children such as a pirate ship and merry-go-round rides will be arranged.
“This event is an Independence Day commemorative market festival and fun fair. There will be approximately 270 stalls, set up along the stretch from the traffic light near Insein Park to Zee Ohn Gone bus stop. The stall sizes are limited to 8 feet by 9 feet. For children, there will also be fun rides, including a pirate ship, a rocket, and a merry-go-round,” an organizing committee member explained.
In addition to the stalls, traditional Myanmar snacks and other delicacies will be sold by vendors. These vendors will participate in this event after completing their sales at the New Year market festival in Lanmadaw Township, Yangon Region. — ASH/MKKS
