The inter-school U-18 track and field contest was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at the township sports ground in Tanyang Township, Shan State this morning.
The activity was organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department under its scheme “Township Sports Development Programme”. First, Chairman of the township sports and physical education committee Township Administrator U Nyi Nyi Htwe made a speech. The competition included races, high jump, long jump, pole vault, discus throw and javelin throw. Around 150 athletes participated in the contest.
