A rural road is being built in Hteekyone Village, ChaungU Township in Sagaing Region, said Regional Lawmaker U Win Myint Khin.


The rural road measuring 2.4 mile long and 21 ft. wide is built with Ks. 3.5 million of the Union Budget allotted in the current fiscal year by using heavy machinery provided by the local government. Hteekyone Village is located in the remote are of the township and lags behind development in various sectors. The inter-village is built to achieve rapid growth, said the regional legislator.


Residents from Hteekyone Village once used bullock-carts and bicycles to travel to other villages. Upon completion, they will be able to use motorbikes, cars, and trawlergy in all seasons.
