The final match of an inter-ward/village U-20 men’s open football tourney was held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony at Aung San Thuriya Hla Thaung Sports Ground in Kungyangon Township, Yangon Region yesterday evening.
In the final game, the team representing Tawkyaung Village became the champion after beating the squad representing South Ward 2-0. Chairman of the township sports and physical education committee Township Administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Tun and concerned officials presented champion trophy, individual awards and cash to prize winning teams and players.
Departmental staff, members of the Red Cross, firefighters, policemen, and local people enjoyed the final match.
