In celebration of International Youth Day 2024, the Myanmar Volleyball Federation is hosting a men’s and women’s volleyball tournament for players under 21.
The tournament, which features 14 men’s teams and seven women’s teams from across the regions and states, began yesterday at 10 am at the Aungsan Sports Hall in Yangon. Over 250 players will compete until 18 August, with matches open to the public free of charge.
For the men’s competition, the first-place team will receive K10 million, the second-place team K5 million, the third-place team K2.5 million, and the fourth-place team K1.5 million as cash awards. Additionally, the best player in the men’s tournament will grab K1 million.
In the women’s competition, the first-place team will earn K6 million, the second-place team K3 million, the third-place team K1.5 million, and the fourth-place team K1 million, respectively. The best player in the women’s tournament will claim K500,000. — MNA/KZL
