French President Emmanuel Macron has agreed with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to seek ways for the resumption of a dialogue among parties to maintain Iran's nuclear deal.

Macron's office released a statement on Saturday that the two leaders talked by phone for over one hour. Macron expressed his strong concern over Iran's declaration to increase uranium enrichment above the agreed level after Sunday as it risks a further weakening of the deal.

The two leaders are said to have agreed to look at conditions for resuming talks among all parties by July 15. France and other European countries want to maintain the nuclear deal. The statement says Macron would continue consultations with Iran and other relevant international parties to reduce tension through dialogue.
