A ceremony to hand over a tube well and a pump and a water tank with a capacity of 3500 gallons to villagers was held in the Kyauksayit Gone village in Shwe Zan O village-tract, Thabaung township, pathein district, ayeyarwady region this morning.

 MP U Thein Tun of Pyithu Hluttaw in his speech said that there are six villages, 384 houses and a population of 1995 people in this village-tract. He continued to say that this area often faces scarcity of water in summer times, expressing his thanks to JCI for its donation. 

Then, Mr Kato Daisuke explained the aim of the donation which is the first donation made in Myanmar under Smile by Water program by Junior Chamber International, Japan.—Maung Maung Myint (IPRD)
