MORE than 450 Japanese companies will recruit about 1500 Myanmar workers, according to a statement on demand letter released by Myanmar Embassy in Japan.

The embassy has carried out timely verifications of demand letters received from the Ministry of Labour via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it said.

It verifies whether labour supervisory companies and factories or companies which offered jobs in Japan are officially established or not, and re-submits its findings and remarks to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is about 459 demand letters that the embassy submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after verification until 11 November 2024. According to it, more than 310 Myanmar male workers and more than 1100 Myanmar female workers would be employed by up to 450 Japanese companies.
