Two aqueducts and rural gravel roads will be built with the financial support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the fiscal year 2019-2020, according to the Department of Rural Development.

Three aqueducts will be built at three separate locations with the financial contributions of JICA and the local government. In addition, a gravel road measuring 9.9 miles will be built by JICA under its Agriculture Income Improvement Project, said an official from the DRD.
Mr. Yoshihisa Yamashita, section leader (Roads & Bridge) from JICA’s Agriculture Income Improvement Project and a DRD officials led by Director Dr. Tun Myint Aung made a field trip to project areas in September.
