Local authorities seized stimulant tablets worth K 3.5 million on the road leading to  Nanswan Taungche and Nanma Villages, Mohnyin Township, Kachin State yesterday.

Acting on a tip-off, Anti-drug Squad-3 led by Police Capt Myo Min Tun together with witnesses on 6 March evening stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Soe Nyin Tun(a) Thar Htoo, and confiscated heroin weighing 50 grams worth K 3.5 million from him.

Mohnyin Police Station filed charge against Soe Nyin Tun (a)Thar Htoo under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Lu Aung
