DRUGS were seized in Py­inOoLwin and Loilem town­ships, according to the My­anmar Police Force.

 

A combined team con­sisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force on 16 February stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Aung Naing Moe at 1:30 pm near Pongon village in PyinOoLwin Township and seized 400 stimulant tablets and 11,400 stimulant tablets from his house, at a total value of K23.6 million.

 

At 6:15 am on 14 February, the Myanmar Police Force stopped and searched a mo­torbike driven by Aung Latt near Hotint village in Loilem Township and seized 50,000 stimulant tablets valued at K25 million. In addition, at 3 pm on 15 February, the Myan­mar Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Than Soe at the same place and seized 7,600 stimulant tab­lets valued at K3.8 million.

 

The offenders were pros­ecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Sub­stances Law. — MNA/MKKS
