THE ceremony for the 77th An­niversary of Kachin State Day was organized on the lawn in front of the Kachin State gov­ernment office yesterday.

 

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister Office Ad­miral Tin Aung San first read out the message sent by State Administration Council Chair­man Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudham­ma Min Aung Hlaing to the 77th Kachin State Day celebration.

 

State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan remarked, and Union Minister for Border Af­fairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung donated 150 sets of panels with 120-watt solar home systems to the Kachin State Security and Border Affairs minister.

 

Union Minister for Infor­mation U Maung Maung Ohn donated 50 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for the state government and 30 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for families of Northern Command.

 

The Admiral and party participated in the closing event with Manaw dance and posed for documentary photos.

 

At noon, the Admiral and party attended the hon­orary certificate, prizes and award-giving ceremony to the outstanding person for their efforts in state development measures and sector-wise ac­tivities at the township stadi­um in Myitkyina.

 

The state chief minister and state Security and Bor­der Affairs minister explained the awarding event, and the Admiral and party conferred the honorary certificates and prizes on the outstanding ones.

 

The Admiral and party also joined the dinner event for the 77th Kachin State Day on the same evening.
