A ceremony to honor schools with best pass rate and outstanding students who passed with high marks in 2021-2022 Academic year’s matriculation examination was held at the town hall in Loikaw, Kayah State on 11 July.
First of all, students from No.(1) B.E.H.S. performed a song. Then, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin delivered an opening speech and called on officials to develop human resources to build a peaceful, modern and prosperous nation in line with international education system. This was followed by the presentation of prizes to the schools with best pass rate and students who passed with distinctions by officials.
Under this prize award program, staff officers of basic education officer’s office in Loikaw Township, bawlakhe Township and Mese Township, headmasters from No.(1) B.E.S.H., No.(7) B.E.H.S. in Loikaw and B.E.H.S. in Mese with best pass rate in the State, five students who passed with three distinctions and other students who passed with distinctions in the state received the prizes respectively.
This was followed by the presentation of certificates of honor to staff officers of the Township Education officer’s offices in the state and students who participated in the performance. Afterwards, a student spoke words of thanks on behalf of outstanding students. Afterwards, officials cordially greeted the students and gave words of encouragement to them.—IPRD
