A ceremony to inaugurate a concrete road in Winehtaw village, Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State was held this morning.

First, Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint gave opening remarks. Then, Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Speaker of Kayin Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin, State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Saw Myint Oo, State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col. Myo Min Naung and Presiding Sayadaw of Winehtaw monastery formally cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The road which is 1320 ft in length, 14 ft in width and 6 inches in height was constructed with K 26 million funded by community based project and over K 5 million contributed by local residents. The road will benefit a total of 9113 people from 1590 households nearby villages.
