Chief Minister of Kayin State Daw Nang Khin Htwe Myint handed over cash assistance provided by the Ministry of Border Affairs to members of Klohtoobaw Karen Organization (KKO) of a splinter group in Myaingyeengu Region on 29 September.

The chief minister and her entourage first paid homage to presiding Sayadaw of Myainggyeengu Nan Oo monastery and donated offertories to the monk. They also furnished the members of the splinter group, who returned to the legal fold with Ks. 9 million, rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, and clothing. Kayin State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col Myo Min Naung contributed Ks. 4.95 million donated by the Ministry of Border Affairs to the a 45-memebr KKO splinter group led by Saw Tin Myint with the rank of captain.

The chief minister and her party held a discussion with members of the KKO splinter group over education, job employment and vocational training for offspring of the KKO splinter group members.
