The officials from Bago Region Government, Bago Region Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Maung Yin, Bago Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Kyi Zin, Bago Regional MP U Lin Lin Kyaw, Kyauktaga Administrator U Thein Htike Aung, Kayin ethnic people and others attended the Kayin new year festival held in Hpa-do, Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region yesterday morning.

Those present on the occasion saluted the state flag and Kayin national flag. The ethnic youths presented gifts to the elders, after which the Bago Region Hluttaw Speaker delivered a speech.

The Bago Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker presented K one million donated by Bago Region Government to Chairman of the Organizing Committee Sayadaw Sae Sar Do. 

Those from the Organizing Committee spoke words of thanks to individuals who were in the holding of the festival. The ceremony came to an end with a Kayin national song. –Ko Thein Aye
