With a view to broadening horizons of the general public over conservation of wildlife animals in Hukawng Vally, an awareness talk on international tiger day was held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony at the meeting hall of the General Administration Department in Shinbweyang, Kachin State this morning.
    

 

First, Kachin State MP U Zaw Win shared knowledge about wildlife animals in Hukawng Valley and called for public participation in conservation of wildlife animals. Township Administrator U Naing Win Kyaw also disseminated knowledge about tiger species. Next, a ranger from the Forest Department briefed the celebration of international tiger day and implementation of the policies.
    

 

Afterwards, concerned officials presented prizes to award winners in an essay contest to mark the international tiger day 2019. The event was also attended by departmental staff, reps from NGO, ethnic cultural troupes, and local people totaling about 150.—IPRD
