Falam, 9 March

 

An inauguration of a water supply project took place at a water storage tank in Falam, Chin State this morning.

 

First, a cheering team of students performed entertainment to audiences. Next, Chief Minister of Chin State U Salai Lian Luai, Chin State Minister for Road and Transportation U Shwe Htee Ooe, Chin State Minister for Municipal Affairs, Electricity and Industry U Soe Htet, the Lower House MP U yar Hnen and a town elder cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the water supply facility. The chief minister and his entourage also sprinkled scented water on a stone plaque.

 

Then the chief minister delivered an address and a town elder expressed words of thanks. The water supply structure covering four water tanks capable of storing 100,000 gallons of water was built by a private company with Ks. 5 billion allotted under the Union Government in the financial year 2016-2017.—IPRD
