THE Myanmar Embassy in Ja­pan announced on 17 December that applications are open for the Kubota Fund scholarships for 2025-2026, which will provide 80,000 to 100,000 yen per month.

 

The Managing Committee of the Kubota Fund has notified the embassy about it and they will select 12 successful individ­uals, and the stipend will range from 80,000 yen to 100,000 yen per month from April 2025 to March 2026.

 

Engineering researchers, interns, and students from developing countries who are working or studying in private businesses, research institu­tions, and universities in Japan are eligible for this scholarship.

 

Applicants must be citi­zens, or born and raised in a de­veloping country, employed by a business in Japan, or officially registered with a research/ed­ucation/training institution, or are doing a course in civil en­gineering, electrical engineer­ing, mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, envi­ronmental engineering, ener­gy engineering, architecture, development and economics among others, as a student, researcher or intending to con­duct research. Applicants must be able to reside in Japan dur­ing the grant period, except for travelling abroad for research, attending international confer­ences, and temporarily visiting their home country. They must submit a letter of recommen­dation from a supervisor from the institution where they are working.
