The Yangon Region government provided emergency cash assistance to farmers whose croplands were damaged by floods and other disasters in the previous fiscal year.

The event was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Kyauktan Township, Yangon Region yesterday morning. On the occasion, Yangon Region MP for Constituency No.2 Daw Thet Thet Mu delivered an opening address and Township Administrator U Than Htay explained matters relating to the provision of cash assistance.

Next, concerned officials presented over K 8.8 million for 884 acres of damaged croplands at a rate of K 10,000 per acre through village administrators.
