Land and crop compensation were given to farmland owners, whose farmlands were used in the construction of Mone Creek Bridge, at the briefing hall of Mone Creek Bridge construction project in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region yesterday.
First, MP U Tun Tun of Pyithu Hluttaw clarified the purpose of giving land compensation. Next, officials gave a total of K 4,640,000 for crop and land compensation to five farmland owners in OOyin village, Pwintbyu Township and one of farmland owners expressed words of thanks.
Afterwards, MPs of Hluttaw and departmental personnel inspected the condition of Mone Creek Bridge construction. The officials from Bridge Construction Team-5 explained the salient point of the construction.
The bridge on Minbu-Salin-Tanyaung road is being constructed with K 2,500 million allocated in 2017-2018 FY and K 300 million allocated in 2018-2019 FY. The bridge is 1,300 ft in length, 24 ft in width and it is of RC type. The bridge construction started on 21 May 2017 and was completed by 93.5 percent on 1 April, 2019, according to U Nyunt Lwin from Bridge Construction Project.
