A ceremony to pay land compensation to a farmer whose farmland was subjected to confiscation by the ministry of education was held at the meeting hall of the township General Administration Department in Shwe pyithar township in the north district of Yangon this morning.

At the event, Yangon Region Hluttaw MP U Yan Aung Min made opening remarks. Then, Director U Aung Kyaw Oo of Yangon Region Education Office clarified why the land compensation was paid. 

Then the deputy township administrator added some remarks and handed over a land compensation of K 82.2 million to farmer Daw Win win Maw.—Nay Myo Tun (Shwe Pyithar)
