Worth more than Ks. 500 million of controlled chemicals and other chemicals were seized in the Town of Loilem, Shan State (South).

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting members of the Anti-Narcotic Drug Squad searched a 22-wheel truck driven by Wai Yan Myin Thu with Aung Min Thu on board, a 22-wheel truck driven by Nyein San Htike with Thiha Ko Ko on board, a 22-wheel truck driven by Zin Win Htway with Lin Htet Zaw on board and a 22-wheel truck driven by Aye Min Aung with Ar Kar Oo on board from Taunggyi at Loilem Toll gate in the town of Loilem, Shan State(South) on June 29 at about 7:00 am and seized 22040 liters of chemical Hydrochloric Acid, 12000 liters of Sulfuric acid and 26720 liters of Dichloromethane  Acid worth Ks. 500 million on the trucks.

According to the investigation, Sit Nyein Tun and Ye Lin Htet were arrested at Loilem toll gate, Min Min Thet Naing, Ye Tun Thein and Nay Myo Lin were arrested in the town of Namh San, Shan State and Myo Khin was arrested in Pazundaung Township of Yangon Region respectively in connection with the cases and further investigations were underway. The seized chemicals and other chemicals used in the Illicit production of narcotic drugs were transported from Yangon to Namhsan of Shan State (South).—MNA
