Police members seized over 900000 stimulant tablets worth Ks. 450.0 million in Hopong Township, Shan State (South) on July 18.

 

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-Narcotic Drug Squad stopped and searched a vehicle driven by Win Tun Naing on Loilem-Taunggyi Road near Nanhkhok Village in Hopong Township on July 18 at about 2:30 pm and seized Ks. 450.0 million worth of 912000 stimulant tablets in the car. According to interrogations, the seized stimulant tablets will be transported from Shan State to Kayin State.

 

The offender has been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law and further investigations are underway, according to the Myanmar Police Force.—MNA
