Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotic Drug Squad searched a vehicle on the 54th street between 124 and 125 streets in Thinpangon Ward in Pyigyidagun Township of Mandalay Region at about 10:00 am on December 24 and arrested Win Htet Oo and Ladaung Naw Bauk along with 10.12 kilos of heroin worth K 253.0 million in the vehicle.
The seized heroin was carried from Shan State to Mandalay Region, according to investigations. The offenders have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law and further investigations were underway.—MNA
