Local authority confiscated 127 kilos of narcotic drugs worth Ks. one billion in Tachilek Township, Shan State (East), according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined team comprising anti-narcotic drug task force searched a vehicle on Wamsaukkhun-Tachilek Road in Tachilek Township, Shan State(East) at about 11:00 pm on July 7 and seized Ks. one billion worth of narcotic drugs in the vehicle.

The suspect was charged under the country's drugs law, and further investigations were underway.—MNA
