A shooting in Canada has left at least nine people dead and more than 20 others injured.
Canadian police say the incident occurred on Tuesday at a school in Tumbler Ridge, located in the western province of British Columbia.
Police say six people were found dead inside the school, and two more bodies were discovered at a residence believed to be connected to the shooting. Another person died while being transported to a hospital.
The suspected shooter was described as a woman. She was also found dead in the school.
Investigators have not disclosed information on the suspect, citing privacy reasons.
Canada's public broadcaster CBC reports that Tumbler Ridge is a small town with a population of around 2,400 at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The school has 160 students.
