Licenses will be issued to vendors who want to sell goods around moat in Mandalay Thingyan Festival and vendors without licenses will be dealt with the law, according to the Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC).

“The vendors will be issued licenses which enable them to sell their goods at the designated areas. There will be surprise checks on licenses and penalties apply” said U Kyaw San Myint, member of the MCDC.

This year, Mandalay Thingyan Festival will extend its area where the 24-hour Countryside Thingyan Market will be included.
