Kyaikmaraw, 3 September
Some classrooms and computer rooms were destroyed after a fire broke out at a high school in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported on Wednesday.
The fire was believed to have started from an overheated cable wire when a lightening stroke at the school at about 6:45 p.m. on August 28. Firefighters from nearby fire service stations put out the flame with the use of five fire engines an hour later.
No casualties were reported due to the fire but many classrooms were damaged by the fire.
