With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were dispensed to farmers at the Sakawar Mye hall of the township General Administration Department yesterday.

At the event, the regional Hluttaw Representative U Aye Khaing delivered an opening speech and the township Administrator U Win Ko Ko clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures of the project to be abode by rural people. Then, an official from the township Department of Rural Development explained matters relating to emerald green project.

Afterwards, the regional Hluttaw Representative, the township Administrator and official from the township DRD handed over K 30.0 million each to village emerald green project committees from three villages including Taungpawbalung, Thanatbin and Hlaingtha Viallages in the township.
