With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were disbursed to members of village emerald green project committee in Lansone Village in Mese Township, Kayah State on 24 December.

At the event, an official from the township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.

Afterwards, an official from the township DRD handed over K 37.0 million to village emerald green project committee in the village. 

Altogether 35 people - 22 people in agriculture business, 10 in livestock breeding business and three in trading business in the village received loans of the projects. The disbursement of loans is the sixth of its kind in the village.
