With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were disbursed to members of village emerald green project committee in Nankya Village, Muak-U Township, Rakhine State yesterday on a door to door basis. The disbursement of loan is the seventh of its kind in the village.
At the event, an official from the township Department of Rural Development gave a speech and clarified the purpose of the project. Afterwards, staff from the township DRD dispensed K 47.0 million to members of village emerald green project committee in the village.
Altogether 195 people - 68 people in agriculture business, 32 in livestock breeding business and 95 in trading business from Nankya Village received loans of the projects. Personnel from the township DRD disbursed loan of the project to members of village emerald green project committee in accordance with the rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports amid the outbreak of COVID-19.—Tin Tun Oo, IPRD
