With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were dispensed to members of village emerald green project committee in Hochaung Village, Namhsan Township, Palaung self-administered zone in Shan State on 29 December.

At the event, officials from the township Department of Rural Development and Emerald Green Project Supervisory Board handed over K 42.0 million to members of village emerald green project committee.

The township DRD provided loans of emerald green project to 19 villages in the township. Official dispensed loans of project to local farmers in accordance with the guidance of Ministry of Health and Sports amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The disbursement of loans is the fourth of its kind in the village.
