With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were disbursed to members of village emerald green project committee at the Dhamayone of Mansekhu Village in Putao Township, Kachin State yesterday.

At the event, deputy staff officer of the township Department of Rural Development Daw A Nyi He and members handed over K 27.9 million to members of village emerald green project committee in the village. The disbursement of loan is the fourth of its kind in the village.

Altogether 39 people – one people in agriculture business, 18 in livestock breeding business, three in trading business and 17 who will attend vocational school received loans of the projects.

Personnel from the township DRD disbursed loan of the project to members of village emerald green project committee in accordance with the rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
