With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were dispensed to farmers at the meeting hall of the township Department of Rural Development under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation yesterday.

At the event, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Kyaw Tint delivered an opening speech. Then, an official from the township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures of the project to be followed by rural people.

Afterwards, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative and an official from the township DRD handed over K 30.0 million each to village emerald green project committees from six villages including Sutat, Letpanpu, Pannyo, Zayatkyigon, Htantabyin and Seinpankhine villages in Tatgon Township.—Tin Soe Lwin, Township IPRD
