With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for the implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers in Natyeegan Village, Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region this morning.

The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind and Deputy Administrator of the township General Administration Department U Win Thet Lin delivered an opening speech. Then, staff officer of the township Department of Rural Development Daw Khin Soe Win clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.

Afterwards, U Win Thet Lin dispensed over K 53.8 million to 167 people in Natyeegan Village. Then, a member of village emerald green project committee spoke words of thanks.

Also present on the occasion were U Win Thet Lin from the township GAD, Daw Khin Soe Win and staff from DRD, invited guests and members of village green project committee.—Ei Ei Aung(Chaung-U)
