With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans to implement emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers at the house of chairman of Emerald Green Project committee in Ywathargyi Village in Nyaungdon Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday afternoon.

The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind in which a staff officer from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures of the emerald green projects to be a bided by the rural people.

Afterwards, an official from DRD handed over K 50.7 million to 331 households from Ywathargyi Village. The loans of project will be used in agriculture business, livestock breeding business, small scale manufacturing business and marketing business.—Wala Naing (Nyaungdon), IPRD
