With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, officials from Department of Rural Development disbursed loans for implementation of emerald green projects to farmers in Thayettaw Village, Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.

The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind in which staff officer of the Township DRD U Kyaw Lwin Oo clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures for implementation of emerald green projects to be abided by rural people.

Afterwards, officials from DRD handed over loans of K 51.3 million to 99 local farmers including 11 people in agriculture business, 87 in livestock breeding business and one in trading business.
