With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, officials from Department of Rural Development disbursed loans for implementation of emerald green projects to farmers in Manawgone Village, Myothit Township, Magway Region yesterday. The disbursement of loan is the eighth of its kind in the village.

At the event, staff officer of the Township DRD Daw Kyi Kyi Khaing clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures for implementation of emerald green projects to be abided by rural people.

Afterwards, officials from DRD handed over loans of K 51.6 million to 169 local farmers including 99 people in agriculture business and 70 in livestock breeding business.—Kyaw Oo(DRD)
