With the aim of implementing the socioeconomic development of rural people, the Department of Rural Development is conducting Emerald Green Project across the nation. In addition, the developmental works in rural areas are being undertaken with the interest of the project. Now, the rural electrification project is being undertaken in Mraukywa village, Wuntho Township, Kawlin District, Sagaing Region with the interest of the Emerald Green Project.

The installation of a transformer and 11 KV transmission line was undertaken with the interest of the project and public contribution. Now, the installation of the power transmission line was completed by hundred percent. Upon completion, a total of 731 people from 123 households in the village will get access to 24-hour electricity.
