Construction of an inter-village road connecting Putong village and Mudon Village in Putao Township, a remote area in Kachin State was completed by hundred percent ahead of schedule and the local people are now able to use the road conveniently.
The Department of Rural Development built the gravel road at an estimated cost of Ks. 320 allotted in the current fiscal year, said a local. Another man also expressed thanks to the government for construction of the all-season use road for local people who once experienced travel delays and barriers in rainy season.
The rural road facilitates swift commodity flow; improve socioeconomic status of local people, and uplift the standard of living.—
