With the aim of upgrading socioeconomic development and narrowing gaps between rural and urban areas, Township Department of Rural Road Development will implement construction of Oakpokan-Thanchaung inter-village road in Mrauk-U Township.

Officials from District Department of Rural Road Development and Township Department of Rural Development and members of village development committee inspected the place where the inter-village road will be conducted.

The road which is 1716 ft in length, 12 ft in width and seven inches in volume will be built with K 140.175 million of funds of State Government during 2023-2024 FY. Upon completion, it will bring socioeconomic development to 2736 people from 539 households in four villages.
