The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) in Zigon Township, of Bago Region, began disbursing agricultural loans for winter crop to farmers at its branch in Ward 4 in accordance with the Covid-19 prevention rules.


Daw Khin Mar, the township manager of MADB, said that the government has been providing agricultural loans to farmers every year with instructions to cover the cost of growing crops for winter crops. Agricultural loans will be doled out to the farmers in accordance with Covid-19 prevention guidelines in order to avoid the crowds. Then, officials from the MADB disbursed Ks 474,000,000 for 474 acres of land at the rate of 100,000 kyats per acre to 79 farmers in Lamma Village-tract.


Ks 32,508,000,000 would be disbursed for 32,508 acres of winter crops from 31 village tracts in Zigon Township, according to the MADB.
